The safety of its cosmetic products, the well-being and trust of its clients are, and have always been, a top priority for Parfums Givenchy. The House complies with the strictest regulations on cosmetics in the world and has taken the necessary measures to avoid using any ingredient scientifically considered harmful for health.

The selection of ingredients, whether natural or synthetic, is carried out by Givenchy laboratories and relies on strict criteria in terms of quality, effectiveness, safety and environmental impact. They are all assessed individually and combined so as to ensure the safety of consumers and the best efficacy of formulas.

When the House chooses natural ingredients, it makes sure identified regulations in this sector are respected, such as the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) for the trade of certain plants.

Parfums Givenchy has committed to ensuring the traceability — up to the country of harvest — of 100% of its natural raw ingredients by 2025. The House has also launched an assessment and certification process of its most strategic natural supply chains. For this reason, Givenchy became a member of the Union for Ethical BioTrade (UEBT) in 2021.
