OUR ACTIONS AGAINST
CLIMATE CHANGE

THE PARIS AGREEMENT AS A FRAMEWORK

Givenchy Parfums is committed to reducing by 26% its carbon emissions by 2030. This objective set is fully in line with the LVMH Group’s carbon trajectory, which has been validated by the SBTI organisation. It was formulated and reviewed with the help of the independent carbon consultancy Carbone 4 during 2022 and is based on a WB2D reduction scenario in absolute terms between now and 2030 (compared to 2021).

REDUCE EMISSIONS FROM OUR WORKSHOPS

Givenchy is committed to reducing by 40% the CO2 emissions of its production sites & offices by 2030 vs. 2021.

The sites’ energy strategy is based on two principles: reducing energy consumption and replacing fossil fuels with low-carbon energies. In 2022, Givenchy invested in boilers that consume less energy and reduced the heating temperature at its sites from 21°C to 19°C. The Maison is taking regular action to improve the insulation of its two production workshops based in France and to use LED-based lighting systems. Between 2021 and 2022, Givenchy Parfums reduced the carbon footprint associated with energy use at its sites by 16%.

REDUCE EMISSIONS FROM THE TRANSPORTATION OF OUR PRODUCTS

Aware that almost 50% of its CO2 emissions come from the supply of raw materials and the shipping of finished products, Givenchy is committed to increasing the ratio of its shipments by sea. To do this, the company monitors a logistics indicator (RAMA) that measures the share of sea freight in total sea and air shipments. End of July, it reached 59% (vs. 51% in 2021) with a target of 70% by 2025.
